Hospitals & Walk-In Clinics

If you require medical attention because you are sick or injured while in the Old Orchard Beach area, our local hospitals and clinics have medical staff that can help you.

Walk-in clinics can often assist with persistent coughs and colds, stitches, injuries or broken bones, allergies, insect bites, rashes, flu and COVID testing, lab work, X-rays, IV fluids and other minor medical procedures.

Going to the hospital is usually for more serious or very urgent medical issues, including chest pain, heart problems, trouble breathing, severe bleeding, fainting or loss of consciousness, severe flu symptoms, head injuries/trauma, high fever, loss of vision, exposure to dangerous chemicals, drug overdoses, alcohol poisoning, severe pain, severe burns, etc. Call 911 immediately if you or someone you are with is experiencing any of these medical emergencies.

Important: If you seek medical care while in the U.S. or have a medical emergency, you will be asked to provide your medical insurance information. Always carry this information with you. In addition, notify your sponsor of your medical care as soon as possible.
